Wayne Richard Stevenson of Eden Prairie passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the age of 81. After a few months of declining health, Wayne died peacefully at his home with his beloved wife Mary and family by his side.
Wayne was born in Minneapolis on November 29, 1940, to parents Lee Stevenson and Mildred Stevenson Myhre. Wayne graduated from Hopkins High School in 1958 and proudly served in the Air Force from 1961-1965. After returning from service, Wayne became a skilled machinist and owned Stevenson Machine Company until his retirement. In Wayne’s free time, he enjoyed fishing, monthly lunches with friends, and spent countless hours cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patricia and Carolyn, brother Gary, daughter Jennifer, and granddaughter Beth Ann. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary; children David (Julie) Stevenson, Brian (Kris) Stevenson, and Jill (Dan) Dahl; grandchildren Riley, Kamryn and Kaylee Stevenson, Reece and Macey Dahl.
A visitation for Wayne is planned for Monday, December 20, 2021, from 4 pm to 6 pm. A memorial service for Wayne is planned for Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11am. Both services will be at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane in Eden Prairie. All are invited to attend.
