Timothy J. Skoug, age 70, passed away Monday, June 26th surrounded by loved ones.
Survived by Collen DesRosier, his loving wife of almost 45 years. Daughters Alycia, Sarah (Tom) and Michelle (Bill) and 5 adoring grandchildren Jackson, Olivia, Peter, Maria and Grant Timothy. Siblings Sandy, Kathy, Tom and Suzy. Proceeded in death by Rose and Ray Skoug (parents), David Skoug (brother), Mary Fleming (sister) and James Lokrantz (nephew).
Tim was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI. He grew up in a loving home on Second Ave attending St Patrick’s Elementary School and Regis High School. He spent his youth playing football, basketball, biking, fishing, ice skating and making campfires and forts with his brothers. Growing up in WI turned Tim into an instant Packer Fan. After his youth he met and married Colleen. Tim completed aviation mechanical training which led him to a long career working on aircraft. Tim and Colleen found their way to MN where they raised 3 daughters on Baywood Lane. A neighborhood that grew and changed over the last 40 years to love and support each other like no one could have predicted. The Baywood family will miss him dearly along with many others.
Tim was a kind, gentle loving man to all. He met many passions in life such as aviation, literature and music. He loved a day of hard work outside on the farm as a boy, in the backyard or up north.
It will be difficult to no longer see Tim in the garage at his work bench, in his reading chair, at the picnic table in the back yard, the fishing boat at the cabin, pushing a grandchild on the swings or playing catch but we have so many fond memories to cherish. We will always save you a seat on the back patio.
Visitation July 5, 2023, At Huber Funeral Home in Eden Prairie starting at 2pm, service to follow at 3.pm. Social hour takes place at Chanhassen Legion directly following service.
Memorials preferred over flowers. Tim regularly donated to the Mary Jo Copeland Fund https://sharingandcaringhands.org/donate
