Tierney, Thomas Francis Jr. of Minnetonka passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 68 years old. Preceded by his parents Tom and Marge, and survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lori, children Aron, Christopher (Tina), and Megan (Zach), five adorable grandchildren, and seven siblings, Tom was a person of great faith and died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, listening to his favorite musician, Van Morrison. In 1988, Tom, along with his friend Allen Duerr, co-founded Art of the West Magazine, a bimonthly western art publication for fine art collectors and enthusiasts. As one of the genre's leading experts and supporters, Tom retained many lasting connections in the art world after selling the publication in 2019. His family's deepest gratitude is extended to everyone at Park Nicollet Hospice (especially Erin and Rebecca) who helped him through his final journey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at St. Hubert's, 8201 Main St., Chanhassen, to be preceded by a 10:00 am visitation. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
