Schimke, Tamara Rae, passed away November 7, 2021 at Nagel Assisted Living in Waconia. Tammy was born in Des Moines, IA to Lorraine and Ray Cox on July 11, 1947. She graduated as an LPN after high school, and later as an RN from Bowling Green State University at age 41. Tammy worked for the VA Hospital and Ridgeview Homecare. She and her husband David were married 50 years. Tammy was a devoted wife and mom, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren - Connor, Andrew, Nathan, Matthew, and Elianna. Tammy is survived by her husband, daughter Jennifer Carey (Patrick), son Mark (Ellen), and the grandchildren. Funeral service 11 AM Monday Nov. 15, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie, with visitation starting at 10 AM. Private burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Shorewood. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the UM Landscape Arboretum.
