Olofsson, Sonya Lea 56, loving mother and sister passed away on Saturday April 24, 2021. She was born in Great Falls, Montana on June 14, 1964 to the late John Willie Griffith and Patricia Layne Griffith. Sonya was not only a loving mother but one of the kindest individuals you could ever imagine meeting, whether you were lucky enough to call her a friend or a stranger meeting her for the first time. She remembered every birthday and milestone event in everyone's life, always making an effort to reach out. The daughter of an Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, she lived throughout the United States as a young girl traveling to Montana, Massachutes, Florida, Virginia and North Carolina. She attended Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC, then moved to Bethel, AK where she lived and worked for 25+ years. She worked for AVCP Housing Authority as an executive assistant where she was active in the local VFW. She recently moved to Eden Prairie, MN to be with family. Sonya is survived by her only son Logan Ryan Bailey; sister, Carla Maria Griffith-Princev (son Matthew); brothers, William Gregory Griffith (wife Janice & son Brett), Douglas Keith Griffith (daughter Lindsay & son Nathan), Charles Anthony Griffith (wife Lupe, & sons Brandon, David & Gordon) and Paul Stephen Griffith (son Kyle). There will be a private family viewing on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. A celebration of life will be held afterwards at 6pm at the home of her sister located at: 8810 Knollwood Dr., Eden Prairie, MN.
