Obituary for Shirley Mae Pfeffer (Clark)

Squirl (Shirley) Mae Clark Jackson

August 24, 1932 ~ August 15th, 2022

Born in Superior, Wisconsin, Squirl's family moved to the Milwaukee area where she grew up and went to school. At 20 years old, she moved to Minnesota to live with her Great Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Van, and it's there she met her husband Lee at a dance in the cites. She and Lee started raising their daughters in Bloomington, Minnesota, eventually moving to the Lake Minnetonka area to be close to family. She greatly enjoyed sitting by the lake, fishing for sunnies and endless hours of family time. She worked at Advance Machine Company as a Secretary for 25+ years. She was an avid reader and loved evening card games.

Squirl is survived by her youngest sister Sharon (Santner), her daughters Kathi (Andrew) Chicks & Vicki (Rick) Brockopp and grandchildren James (Colleen) Chicks, Kiya (Mitchell) Lewis and Kilee (Patrick) Pertl, and her extended family Natalie (Nick) Boehme, grandpup Wilson, and Michael (Annie) Brockopp, many other nieces and nephews. She was proud to be a great grandmother to Colton and Parker Brockopp. She is preceded in death by Lloyd (father), Dorothy (mother), Dotty and Grace (sisters) and many Uncles and Aunts. Squirl was a wonderful mom and loving nana. She is forever loved and is always in our hearts.

A tree will be named in her honor at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
