Obituary for Richard Morgan "Dick" Deisher

Richard Morgan Deisher

Dick Deisher age 85 of Minnetonka, Minnesota passed away peacefully September 3, 2021 from congestive heart failure.

Dick was born February 25, 1936 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Ethel Deisher. After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from Penn State University and married Carol Guthrie. Together they raised five daughters. Dick enjoyed a long career in the computer industry which moved the family from Massachusetts to Minnesota. Later in life Dick worked at McGlynn Bakeries, where he met some of his dearest friends. A perfect day included family, a hike, a game of cards and a beer with maybe a Penn State or Vikings football game on. He was an avid reader, loved to travel and enjoyed jazz.

Dick is survived by daughters Debra (Andy) Barr of Griffin, GA; Denise Walstead of Mazatlan, MX; Donna Kelly of Minnetonka, MN, Diane (Kevin) Kuznia of Lino Lakes, MN; and Danette (Rowan) McDeid of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren Matthew Walstead, Anders Barr, Katlyn Barr Cameron, Georgia Barr O’Hora, Kyle Kuznia, Keatan Kuznia, Hunter Kelly, Harrison Kelly, and Sawyer Rose McDeid; great-grandchildren Kyson, Troy and Jaida Cameron, and Nolan, Savannah and Caroline O’Hora; and his sister, Barbara Fuller of Fernandina Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol.

Funeral service 2 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie, with visitation starting at 1 PM. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Chanhassen.
