Obituary for Richard Allan Burns
Burns, Richard A., age 89, died at his home on January 13, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his son John Kenneth Burns, daughter Sally Ann Heinze, parents Gladys & Ken Burns, brother Ray Burns and special friend Lorraine Foreman.
Richard is survived by sister Joan Villella, children Dave Burns, Linda Grothe, Laurie Watts, and James Burns, ex-wife Marline Bowman, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Richard served in the USMC. He retired from The Minneapolis Star & Tribune & proceeded to work another decade with Unisys in Colorado where he resided with Lorraine, returning to Minnesota thereafter to care for his parents.
Services are on hold to keep everyone safe during the pandemic. Burial is expected to be in the spring or summer at Fort Snelling.
