Obituary for Nicole Virginny "Nicci" Morton (Pierard)
Nicole Virginny Morton, 81, of Minnetonka, MN, passed away on June 29, 2022.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, James; her children Juli (Steve) Sanders and David (Jeff Hay) Bunn; stepchildren Lori (Van) Culberson, Joe Morton (Kim Kobienia), Rick (Jill) Morton, and Mike (Chris) Morton; twelve grandchildren Chris (Daniel Restrepo) and Ben Sanders, Josh (Lindsey) and Jake Culberson, Tom and Laura Morton, Max and Jack Morton, John and Sammie Morton, Heather (Jason) Beumer, and Austin (Lindsey) Scholta ; great-grandchildren Hudson Sanders, Davis, Crosby and Quinn Beumer, Olivia and Connor Scholta.
She is preceded in death by her mother Winona, father Bruce, and stepmother Genevieve.
Nicci was raised in Marshall, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Nursing. She worked for many years in Labor and Delivery at Methodist Hospital before returning to school in 1980 to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Nicci was a caring and compassionate healthcare provider who was loved by her patients and co-workers alike.
Nicci will be remembered for her special way of making all who knew her feel important, accepted, and loved. She has touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hopkins. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass. A livestream of the service will be available at www.ihm-cc.org.
