Obituary for Lynne Dotzenroth
Lynne Dotzenroth, age 67 of Spring Park, Minnesota, passed away July 5, 2023
Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Gloria Dotzenroth. Lynne is survived by her bothers David Dotzenroth (Jennifer), Ken Dotzenroth (Laura) and her beloved nephews and niece, Maxwell, Heidi, Erik, and Wiley Dotzenroth. Lynne was much loved, and will also be deeply missed by her friends and the staff of Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park, MN.
Born June 10, 1956 in Orono, MN. Lynne was a distinguished and highly educated intelligent woman. Graduating from Mound Westonka High School, Mound, MN in 1973, Lynne went on to receive her graduate degree from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN followed with work on her PhD thesis researching Linguistics at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Lynne enjoyed her studies in Sweden, where she valued spending time with relatives living there. Teaching in El Salvador and Puerto Rico Lynne spoke many languages. She cherished travelling, teaching abroad and meeting new people in her younger years.
Extremely proud of her profession as a retired school teacher, Lynne and her students shared a mutual admiration of care and dedication! Always going above and beyond for each and every one of her students, Lynne treasured her profession and gift of teaching languages. She enjoyed the many friendships she shared with her countless students over the years!
Lynne had a special love of animals, especially dogs and cats! In her later years she enjoyed spending her time studying the Bible and listening to music.
Lynne will be deeply missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.
