Judith Ann O’Neill (nee Marion)
O’Neill, Judy age 85 of Minnetrista, MN went home to be with God while surrounded by her family in her beloved Lake Minnetonka home on 8.22.23. Judy is survived by: Jerry, her husband of 68 years, her kids: Kevin O’Neill, Jean Edgeworth (Bill), Kelly O’Neill, and Jill Webber (Larry), her grandkids: Brian O’Neill (Keisha), Brandon Edgeworth (Tyler Karlberg), Trevor Edgeworth (Mindy Beahen), Kayla, Keifer and Katrina O’Neill, her great-grandkids: Angel, Garrett, Colby, Lucy, Kaiden, Annabelle, and Dalton, her great-great-grand daughter: Olivia, her brother, Tom Marion (Pam), and very special nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Helen Marion, her best friend and sister, Claudia Gregg, her son, Kyle O’Neill, and her unborn child.
Judy passed as a result of brain cancer diagnosed 12.29.22. She chose not to pursue treatment to ensure she remained as heathy as she could be until she was called Home. She stated: ‘she’d had a good, long life and there’s not a pending bucket list’. Her most poignant statement was, ‘she was not afraid to die due to her devout Catholic faith’. Her concern was cancer pain (thankfully, there was none), and Kelly (her forever concern)!
Family was everything to Judy, and to her family she was everything and more. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
Judy’s love for her lake home and the beautiful flowers she surrounded it with were a true reflection of the person she was.
A Christian mass of burial will be held Wed. 8.30.23 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (2385 Commerce Blvd Mound, MN 55364). Immediately following the mass, a luncheon will be served by Judy’s former funeral lunch team in the OLL Parish Activity Center. A private family burial will take place at the OLL cemetery after the lunch.
Faith, family and all of God’s Kids were Judy’s priority, therefore, in lieu of flowers please consider donations to, Gillett Childern’s .
