Obituary for Judith Lynn "Judy" Bentley (Koehnen)

Judith (Judy) Lynn Bentley

June 29, 1957 – August 8, 2023

Judith (Judy) Lynn Bentley born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 29, 1957 as the youngest of 4 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Virginia Koehnen (Micken).

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Thomas (Tom) Bentley. Tom and Judy loved to travel and over the years and into retirement, were able to enjoy many wonderful domestic (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Mediterranean vacations. They also moved to Reno early in their retirement to enjoy many camper-vacations to scenic destinations out West.

Judy is also survived by her daughter, Janelle (Logan Adams-Leete) Bentley, and son, Terrence (Jenna) Bentley, and their children. Judy was an adoring grandmother to her three granddaughters: Ada Bentley (5), Audrey Bentley (3), and Maren Leete (1). She loved to provide Ada and Audrey with crafts and activities, and enjoyed being in Minnesota to be present for Maren’s first milestones.

Judy was a beloved sister, and is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth (Gary) Zinter, Roger (Gail) Koehnen, and Bruce (Sue) Koehnen. Judy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Judy was always happy to share a (red) wine, play cards, chat, attend a show, enjoy nature, or learn something new with her friends and family. Over the years, she was also an avid quilter, crafter, gardener and lover of plants and animals.

Intelligent, always inquisitive, clever, and kind, Judy is, and will continue to be, deeply missed.
