Breitner, John Leland age 92 of Chanhassen, formerly of Minnetonka Beach, Chaska and Ft Myers, FL. Preceded in death by parents Ruth and John, siblings Stuart and Charlotte. Survived by wife Shirley of 65 years, sons David (Jana), Robert; grandson Dustin, granddaughter Jessica; nieces and nephews and many family and friends. John was a plumbing and heating contractor for 30 years, plumbing inspector for Minnetonka and Mound, and served as Mayor for Minnetonka Beach. He and Shirley enjoyed living and boating on Lake Minnetonka. He loved traveling with Shirley on Caribbean Cruises, and spending winters in Fort Myers. John will always be remembered for being a wonderful caring husband, father, his smile, generosity and loving heart. Funeral service will be at 11AM Saturday (10/9) at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 County Road 19, Excelsior, with visitation starting at 10AM. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
