Obituary for Gregory Milton Knapp
Gregory Milton Knapp passed away May 2, 2023 with his beloved wife Sara by his side at his home.
Greg was born to Richard and Georgianna Knapp on December 25, 1953 in Minneapolis. He graduated from Benilde High School, served in the United States Navy then attended Brown Institute. Greg was employed at 3M since 1981. During that time, Greg graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor degree from Concordia University, St Paul.
Greg is survived by his wife Sara, siblings: Claudia Owens, Col(R) Richard(Ione), Charles, Kathryn Hanz(William), Patricia Lambert(Robert), Georgianna Saumweber(James), Joseph(Deborah), Francis, John(Vicky), Henry, Elizabeth, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael (Adelia), nephews Travis and James, sister-in-law Nancy, brother-in-laws Richard Owens and Arthur Rosenberg.
Visitation on Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 10 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Excelsior MN. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. Luncheon reception following the service. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
