Gerald Evans 'Gerry' Smith
Smith, Gerald Evans "Gerry" age 85. Passed away on December 26, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Donna (Johnson), sons Scott (Linda) and Tim. Grandchildren Austin and Lauren. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Margie) Smith and grandparents George and Florence Evans. Gerry served in the US Navy and was a longtime business owner and lifetime resident of Mound, MN. He loved serving his community and volunteering at the Gillespie Center. He also enjoyed boating on Lake Minnetonka in the summer and vacationing with friends in Florida for the winter. A memorial service followed by a dessert reception will be held at the Gillespie Center on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 1:00PM. Private interment at Fort Snelling on Monday, January 30th. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The Gillespie Center. The family would like to thank the staff at Trouvaille Memory Care in Excelsior and Brighton Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Gerry.
