Obituary for Edward David Cappelle
Our beloved husband and father, Ed, passed away on Monday, December 19th, 2022. Born to Norman & Viola, Ed graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1975, and worked at Zenith as a Systems Analyst. Ed married Pam in December, 1988. They have been married for 34 years and had a daughter, Mandi, and a son, Brian.
Ed had a gaggle of hobbies and passions throughout his life. Ed was an excellent tennis player, and won many local tournaments in the state of Illinois. He also taught tennis and was a board member at the Arlington Tennis Club. Ed was an avid chess player throughout his life and belonged to a local chess groups in Illinois & Minnesota. His largest passion though was trains. Ed enjoyed travelling throughout the world via train. He also built a substantial model railroad layout that he worked on for many years.
He is survived and greatly missed by his wife Pam, daughter Mandi, and son Brian (Mary). The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 27th, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite national park.
