Obituary for Dennis O. "Denny" Nybo

Nybo, Dennis "Denny" 77 of Crosslake and Eden Prairie, passed away on July 19, 2021. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie at 11am on August 14th. A light lunch will follow. Denny was born on July 14, 1944 to Alfred and Clarice (Gire) Nybo in Wallace, Idaho, and moved to Bloomington in 1959. His father started a weld shop and Denny was his only employee for many years. On September 18, 1965 he married Jean Jacobson. In 1973, Denny purchased the shop from his father and built it to a large specialty metal fabricating business, where Jean and both of his children worked alongside him until selling the business in 2002. Denny made friends with everyone he met and remembered everyone's name. He gave many people, especially children, fun nicknames too. He was known for having a great sense of humor, and storytelling. Denny enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, avidly reading, and spending time with family and friends. Denny generously served for the National Guard. He will be missed by all who knew him. Denny is survived by his Jean, wife of 55 years, children; Kelly (Keith) Klein and Bradley Nybo, siblings; Alice (Larry) Balmer and Linda Morshare, grandchildren; Brandon Schwab and Kaylee Schwab. He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to St Andrew Lutheran Church.
