Obituary for Brittany Rae Graves (Fink)

Brittany Rae (Fink) Graves, age 31, of Chanhassen, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 13, 2023. She fought a courageous battle against cancer for 15 months with unwavering strength and grace. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Brittany was born on January 3, 1992 to Darlene (Novak) and Richard Fink. She was born with a caring soul that she shared with the world, an adventurous spirit that led her to many parts of the word and a steadfast loyalty to those she loved.

While she gave love to everyone she touched, nothing demonstrated it better than her passion for being a wife and mother. Brittany wed the love of her life, Michael Scott Graves, on January 19, 2019. They welcomed their sweet boy, Arleigh, on May 13, 2021. Her greatest fulfillment was being a mom.

Brittany, a 2010 graduate of De Pere High School, went on to study business at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating with a degree in business and Spanish, Brittany worked at Hazeltine National Golf Club. She found her passion for teaching while leading youth faith formation and decided to return to school, earning a Masters in Education from Bethel University, and taught in Howard Lake, MN.

Brittany is survived by her husband, Michael Graves, 2-year-old son, Arleigh, her parents, Darlene and Richard Fink, her siblings Jared (Kelleigh) Fink, Sarah (John Adams) Fink, and Jessica (Jason) Bamman, nieces and nephews Logan, Jaxon, Ava, Cooper, Nora, Ellie, John Jr., Aja, Kianna, Talea, grandmother Alvira Fink, numerous aunts, uncles, close friends, and countless others whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norbert and Patricia Novak, grandfather Melvin Fink, aunt Celeste Harris, uncles Roger Stein, Wayne Hartjes, Bruce Fink, and niece Angelina Bamman.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Excelsior, MN beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 with the funeral to follow at 11:30 am. Father Carlson to officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is preferred. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the medical staff at Methodist Hospital who assisted Brittany through her courageous battle.
