Obituary for Beverly Jean Sikorski (Peterson)

Beverly Jean Sikorski, 83, formerly of Excelsior, MN died on December 24, 2022 at Fairview
Care Center in Dodge Center, MN. Beverly was born in Joliet, IL on February 24,1939 to Robert
A. and Dorothy Peterson. She graduated from Yorkville High School in 1957, then attended
schooling for key punching and teletyping. Beverly met and later married Vincent Sikorski on
April 18, 1959 in Brookfield, IL. In 1960 they moved to Deephaven, MN before settling into their
home near Excelsior, MN in 1965.

Beverly worked as a homemaker raising four kids until 1978, when she took a secretarial job at
Minnetonka Country Club. A few years later she started working as a Paraprofessional in the
library at Minnetonka High School until retiring at age 62.

Beverly enjoyed gardening, reading, music, animals/pets and spending time with family and
friends. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Excelsior, MN and helped with
funeral lunches. She was a sweet lovely lady, a great cook, kind, fun, loving, and patient…she
had to be with a husband and certain children creating mischief! (You know who you are!) She
will be greatly missed.

Beverly is survived by two sons and two daughters: Brian (Angelia) Sikorski, Brandon, MS;
Cheryl (Scott) Shonkwiler, Rochester, MN; RaNaye Sikorski, Osceola, WI; Chris (Jody) Sikorski,
Henderson, NV; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings Robert (Ardis)
Peterson, Yorkville, IL; David (Donna) Peterson, Alvaton, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her parents; her brother Ronald; and
her grandson Brandon.
