Ardyce M. Benson (Norin) of Chaska formerly of Victoria and Tonka Bay
Passed away 03/16/2023. Ardyce was born to Irene and Carl Norin in Minneapolis, MN on 10/06/1932. She married Kerman Benson in June of 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. They eventually settled in Tonka Bay where they raised their 3 girls. With the girls, Ardyce was very involved as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, took leadership roles in Mount Calvary youth events, and attended band and choir concerts. Ardyce was also very involved in her community as a South Lake Minnetonka Police Reserve for 19+ years, Excelsior Fire Dept Auxillary and active member at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. While the girls were growing up, she enjoyed working at Animal Fair and then as a Billing Clerk for the City of Tonka Bay. Ardi was known for her delicious treats and meals she shared with the City workers. The Benson house was known for the place to stop and get a meal when all establishments were closed on the holidays for the Police Officers on duty.
Ardi loved her cabin; pontoon rides, fishing, campfires, socializing with the lake friends and the serenity the cabin and the lake provided. She dearly loved her daughters and grandchildren and adored her great-granddaughter.
She is predeceased by husband Kerman, baby girl Benson, father Carl Norin, Mother Irene and Stepfather William Burger, and Nephew Brad Norin. She is survived by daughters Wendy Roser, Laurie Benson, Deb (Mark) Erickson. Grandchildren Brad Benson-Taylor, Luanne Benson-Lender (Scott Dial), Leah Storch (Kyle), Chad Erickson (Katie), Christa Erickson (Reid) and Great Granddaughter Ella. Many friends and relatives
