Age 87, of Chanhassen, formerly of Evansville, MN, died October 8,2018. Preceded in death by his parents, Levi & Mathilda; brother, Carlton & sister, Janice. Survived by his wife, Lorraine of 62 years. Children: Mark (Christine) , Gregory (Kellie) & Julie; Grandchildren: Jeremiah (April) Nicole, Levi & Samuel. Surviving in-laws, nieces & nephews. Maurie served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Railroad Telegrapher before he attended business school in Mpls. Maurie worked for a number of auto dealerships including Wally McCarthy Cadillac & Oldsmobile (25 +). He took joy in serving his church in many different capacities. He truly enjoyed his family, his life, his work, fishing & hunting. A visitation will be Wed., Oct. 17 (5-8 p.m.) at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Ln. Eden Prairie, MN 55344. A funeral service will be Thurs. Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. Visitation 10-11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. 23290 Hwy 7, Excelsior, MN 55331. Internment at Ft .Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Savior Lutheran church.
