Stephanie Jo Torgerson Sipprell
May 12, 1959 – May 5, 2018
Stephanie, age 59, passed away peacefully at her home on May 5, 2018.
Stephanie was born on May 12, 1959. At age 5, her family moved to Glencoe, MN. She graduated from Glencoe High School with the Class of 1977. Stephanie then attended Augsburg College, where she graduated with a major in mathematics in 1981. She spent most of her career as a software developer and an IT business analyst with Cargill, Inc.
Steph married Brian Sipprell and had 2 children, Steve born in 1988 and Hannah born in 1990. She met Margaret Byrne in 1997, and they eventually married in August, 2017. In 2001, they had a son, Sean.
Steph love playing all sports, especially basketball and softball. She coached her sons’ basketball and baseball teams, which she loved. Steph was also very enthusiastic about Boy Scouts, where she was the summer camp director. Troop 347 became a second family to her.
Stephanie is survived by her spouse, Margaret Byrne; children, Steve Sipprell, Hannah Noll (Matt), and Sean Byrne; grandson, Brayden Noll; mother Arlene Torgerson; sister Anne Aune (Les); also by her loving nieces, half siblings Dan Torgerson (Laurie) and Lori Torgerson-Cockram (Joel), other relatives, and many friends. The Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie, MN. Come from 9-11 AM to visit with others who loved Steph. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Boy Scout Troop 347.
