James “Jim” Wayne Scruton, age 84 of Spring Park, MN, passed away December 23, 2017. Born in Minneapolis, MN. U.S. Navy Veteran. Graduated from Mound Westonka High School and Minneapolis College of Business. Credit Manager for Tonka Toys31 years. Jim loved boating on Lake Minnetonka, watching the Vikings, and golf, and spending time with family. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Gary and Marlyce. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Mary; children, Greg (Patti), Cheryl Scruton (Tracey LaChance), Cindy Soderlund; grandchildren, Ben (Kristy) Gottschalk, Jacob (Amelia) Gottschalk, Casey (Pam) Scruton, Allison and Hannah Soderlund; great-grandchildren, Jack, Lucy and Harper Gottschalk; brother, Jack; other relatives and good friends. Memorial service 11AM Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2116 Commerce Blvd, Mound, MN 55364. Visitation 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Bethel United Methodist or Gillespie Center.
