Roger John  Kraft
Kraft, Roger John, 52, passed away suddenly on October 3, 2017, at his home in Orono, MN. Roger was a recognized ISA Certified Arborist and a co-founder of Kraft Tree Service with his wife Susan Kraft (Carlson). He proudly served his country for over three years in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm; earning several badges and awards during his honored service. Roger was an avid outdoorsman, particularly fond of hunting and fishing. He loved music of all kinds but was keen of country and rock. A graduate of Ashland High School, he also earned a degree in police science from Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. In addition to his wife Susan, Roger is survived by his parents Tony and Marcia Kraft, sister Sheri Kraft, children Roger Kraft, Jr., Courtney Kraft, Brooke (Kenny) Baez, Cailee Kraft, Allie Kraft, his step-daughter Shelby Anderson, and numerous relatives and in-laws. Services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation will precede the service from 2:00 to 2:30. A committal service will immediately follow in Lakewood’s mausoleum chapel.
