Obituary for Jeanne Mae Knauer (Livingston)

Jeanne Mae Knauer (Livingston)
Knauer, Jeanne M. left this world peacefully on April 23, 2017. Jeanne was a wonderful Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and they loved her. She was born in May of 1928 to George and Mildred Livingston, the second of two children. Her older brother Richard died at the age of 33, but Jeanne would almost reach the age of 89. She graduated from Washburn HS in 1946 and attended the University of Minnesota where she met her husband Don, an Army Veteran of WWII, originally from Austin, Minnesota. They married in 1950 after Don's graduation and had four children. Jeanne is survived by husband Don, daughters Mary and Kathy, sons Jim and Tom (Diane), grandson Jeff, and granddaughters Natalie and Angie. Proud of all of them, she devoted her life to providing a warm, loving home, planning fun family outings and special holiday celebrations. Throughout her life, Jeanne enjoyed an active life including tennis, bicycling, sewing, interior decorating and entertaining. She cherished the time she spent with her many close friends and an array of groups including sewing club, prayer group, and bible study. We have no doubt that our Lord and Savior has welcomed her into His heavenly kingdom. A small memorial service will be held at the Huber Funeral Home located at 16394 Glory Lane in Eden Prairie on Tuesday, May 2nd at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will take place at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the charity of your choice.
